Jan 9th Panama Canal Transit

Very hot day. It was a smooth and uneventful transit. If you have never been it always amazes you. Truly an engineering marvel. Opened August 15, 1914. The SSAncon was the first commercial vessel to make the transit. Built at a total cost of $639,000,000 US dollars, over 34 years of construction.

  1. Fantastic photos of your transit through the Canal. I especially like how they look in the slides show. I also noticed that you didn’t forget to photograph the pretty señoritas.
