Day 5, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest National Park

After checking out of the Holiday Inn with the slowest Internet Connection on the planet, we went back to Canyon de Chelly to check out the one and only view point we missed yesterday due to rain. It was amazing:

The we were off to see Painted Desert, Petrified Forest National Park. We arrived at noon and did both parks and doubled back and took a few more pictures in places we had already stopped at to see them in a different light. Each of the panorama photos below are best viewed by click on them and the should be full screen, then just click the back button.

  1. Bill Gooden says:

Thanks for your panorama photos. They really illustrate why it is called the Painted Desert. Also thanks for the shots of Native American rock art. And the Tan Man hood ornament. Looks like you guys are having a blast.
