Today was Kal’s (the Rabbi) Birthday, and wonder of wonders he had never had McDonalds, until today that is:
Would you believe that this is the only Kosher McDonald’s outside of Jerusalem, who knew? Well Kal did, and it was very good. This McDonald’s is located in the Abristo shopping mall.
Tonight Gloria and Brad host Kal’s birthday in the Pinnacle Grill, with Susan Hasson, a friend, Beth Downey, the Hostess, Tina Faulkner, the Cruise Director’s wife, and Lacie, the ship’s Librarian.
Gloria and Nina (Kal’s Wife) went the Yarn District. Both of them bought nearly $200 each worth of yarn. And they both said Milana was the very best for selection and price. See their website at www.milanahilados.com.ar . The shop had an English speaking person, the daughter of the owner. Her name is Joji. All the yarn indicates what it is made of, and the price in Argentine pesos per 100 grams. Joji could look at a pattern and tell you the type of yarn you would need and how many grams. Sometimes Joji works in the office. She gave us her card and said if we emailed her the day we were planning to be in the shop, she would be there to help us.
This store supplies the Great Balls of Yarn stores in Florida. According to Nina, the cost was about 20% of what she pays in Florida. The shop will not ship and the cost is small because the shop servixces Argentinians.
Bring the patterns of what you wish to make, And most important BRING CASH! Credfit cards are not accepted. Argentine pesos or US dollars are. Gloria and Nina had a wonderful time in the store.
We returned and the ship had a Patagonian folk show for us:
We had seen the show before, but it was just as good.
